Tissue recovery & return to activity

Load management, recovery, nutrition and the role of professional rehabilitation.

These pathways are useful without using any molecule. They provide general educational guidance and are never instructions for using PHL products.

Understand the goal

Return to activity is a process, not a universal date. It depends on the tissue, diagnosis, restored function, expected load and acceptable risk. This pathway provides general guideposts, not an injury-treatment protocol.

The fundamentals

Load should stimulate adaptation without repeatedly exceeding current capacity. Relative rest maintains what is possible while limiting aggravating stress. Sleep and adequate food support general needs. With an injury, diagnosis and professional rehabilitation are central.

  • Identify well-tolerated movements and those that persistently worsen symptoms.
  • Increase one variable at a time: duration, frequency or intensity.
  • Plan a response if symptoms increase after a session.

Practical guideposts

A simple discomfort scale before, during and the next day helps identify tolerance. Pain-free alternative activity may preserve confidence and fitness. No peptide can be presented as guaranteeing repair; tissue biology, load and clinical context remain decisive.

Build a sustainable approach

A useful progression first defines the activity to be regained, then breaks it into demands such as duration, range, speed, strength or impact. Choose a currently tolerated level and increase one demand at a time, observing the response during and after effort. Brief discomfort does not always mean the same as increasing pain with loss of function. Rules therefore need individualisation with the professional who knows the diagnosis. Planning a lighter option in advance helps maintain activity without forcing. Full return is based on functional criteria, not merely because a theoretical deadline has passed.

Track your progress

Track function: useful range, daily tasks, tolerated load and 24-hour response. Pain alone does not always describe tissue status, but progressive worsening or loss of function calls for reassessment.

Common mistakes

  • Jump from complete rest to normal load.
  • Copy a recovery timeline without a diagnosis.
  • Test the maximum limit every session.
  • Attribute repair to a product rather than the whole process.

When to seek professional advice

Inability to bear weight, deformity, sudden strength loss, unusual night pain or worsening course warrant assessment. For a diagnosed injury, a doctor and physiotherapist guide progression.

Sources & level of evidence

Criteria-based gradual return and shared decision-making are consensus recommendations. Exact timelines depend strongly on the injury and cannot be generalized.
